Charm is owned and operated by design curator, Jen Harness.

After over 20 years in the clinical and corporate worlds, Jen is thrilled to share her life-long love and thoughtful study of beautiful interiors, home rehabilitation, and the charm of older homes. She has launched Charm Decor & Design as a platform to offer an array of home design services to the local Wyoming, Ohio community and beyond.

Jen is known for her genuine enthusiasm for the tasks she undertakes and her congenial approach to leading and working with teams. Throughout her nearly two decades of successful corporate project management, she honed the dynamic communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities that she now applies to design projects. She leveraged this skillset as she lovingly updated her family’s first Wyoming home, a 1918 bungalow, and in recent years she expertly executed her personal passion project, renovating her family’s 1890’s Victorian home after a poorly designed “flip” in the early 2000’s. Jen appreciates the architecture and history of each individual home and uses that to inspire the design and style selections. She describes her own home’s aesthetic as eclectic - filled with both vintage and modern pieces along with touches of whimsy, like her beloved Staffordshire dog figurines, bird and butterfly wall art, and kitschy bookends.

Now, she’s delighted to offer her design expertise, curation services, resources, and personal experience to her clients through Charm Decor & Design. The name Charm has multiple meanings for Jen with the obvious being her love for the charm of older homes, furnishings, and decor. A lesser known meaning of charm is a group of hummingbirds - Jen adores these fascinating creatures for their beauty and tiny, yet powerful, presence.

Jen is married to Trey, president and co-owner of Cincinnati-based advertising agency Curiosity. Along with their teenage twins, a boy and a girl, the family has called Wyoming home since 2013. When not at Patina or immersed in a design project, you’ll see Jen around town walking her four adored pups or in the crowd cheering on one of her children’s sports teams.

“There are three responses to a piece of design - yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”
